ABOUT

This new place of worship boasts a unique architectural design combining ancient tradition with contemporary appeal. The Coptic Church was established in Egypt in the first century A.D. and came to Canada with Coptic immigration in the middle of the 20th century. St. Maurice and St. Verena Orthodox Church is a sanctuary with mezzanine seating capacity of 800. Within the church is a community fellowship hall with a 450 capacity level gymnasium that includes one basketball court and bleachers and a daycare facility that holds 110 children. There is enough parking onsite for 300 cars, 115 on surface and 185 in one basement level.
